At The Disciple Mill, we believe that everyone should have the ability to read and study God's living word. Especially for those called into ministry to lead a congregation. It is so vital for them to have the proper resources to teach and preach the gospel and continue to make disciples with sound biblical understanding.
The Disciple Mill seeks to see pastors trained up in the gospel in a way that brings glory to God. This includes teaching pastors to equip the saints with a deep understanding of God's word, unleashing the transformative power that can only come from the Holy Spirit when Jesus Christ is boldly proclaimed. By providing workshops for pastors we desire to uphold the Scriptures as the true source of God's redeeming power and give people the resources to study God's word and share it with their communities.
Just as Jesus came to meet the spiritual needs of the people he also cared about their physical needs as well. When he feed thousands and healed the sick he showed that while ultimately he came to save people from their sins and create disciples, serving one another means meeting peoples practical needs as well. The Disciple Mill desires to do this by partnering with organizations that can provide people with the resources they need.
The Disciple Mill has many small groups that meet throughout the week for discipleship. A traditional church service is held Sunday afternoons at 3pm, a Men’s bible study group and youth bible study group. These events happen at our home base in Nanton Alberta at 2406 24 Street Nanton, Alberta. All are welcome to attend.

The Disciple Mill is a ministry headed up by Pastor Gregory Girard. With 34 years as a pastor, and Military Chaplin, Gregory has become known as someone who believes passionately in “the maturing of the saints” (Ephesians 4:12-13). When he came to realize that the most effective way to accomplish this was to form a ministry specifically designed for supporting discipleship, The Disciple Mill was formed. A mill is a factory which produces a product. The “product” of this ministry is to mature and educate believers.
Having done ministry in Ontario and Saskatchewan, Pastor Girard is transitioning into retirement, continuing biblical education, and currently living with his wife Mary in Nanton, Alberta. Together they have three daughters, Emily, Annie and Abby, two sons Ben and Conrad and twelve grandchildren. He loves woodworking, gardening, BBQing, and spending time with friends and family. He also enjoys conversation about history, world politics and biblical theology over a delicious charcuterie board.
Pastor Girard has two theological degrees (M.T.S., and M.Div.) from Heritage Theological Seminary, in Cambridge Ontario and is currently working on a third Masters degree (Th.M.) from Toronto Baptist seminary.
